The Day Before Pictures Do a costume check to be sure they are clean, pressed if needed and ready to go, check tights for holes or runs.  Check  that shoes are packed with the costume. Double check your appointment time.  Photo Day Arrive early!  This allows the dancer to relax, be ready and have fun!  Books or toys are great diversions while waiting for your appointment. It’s best not to offer food or drinks during the portrait sessions to prevent spills on costumes. Ensure the dancer’s hair and makeup are ready.  Have some make-up and hair grooming materials handy for touch ups e.g. translucent powder, lip gloss, mascara and blusher.  This is particularly important in the event of costume changes. Bring along a cloth to wash faces and hands if needed. Parents are asked to wait in the lobby during the portrait session to allow the photographer to have the dancer’s full attention. On occasion parents may be asked to assist the photographer in bringing out the child’s best smile!
